There is something inherently cool about exploring old abandoned buildings. Decaying walls, crumbling brick and signs of it's previous life scattered all around you. This one used to be an old electricity station in Stayleybridge which is now left empty and abandoned. The perfect location then for a bit of fashion photography with the fantastic Zoe.
I found out a small amount of history with regards to the site. The station was closed on 29 October 1979 and it was demolished during the 1980s, although part of the site is still used as an electrical substation. With broken doors, smashed windows and crumbling pieces of the building there was plenty of fantastic backdrops and props to shoot against.
Zoe is a freelance model working alongside her university studies and has been modelling since 2011. With a very striking look and a large set of ideas and poses she was very easy to work with as we picked our way through the building littered with debris.
