The Little Red Rooster is one of the rarest of things, a classic American diner set in the heart of a quaint Cornish town. Nestled between several buildings surrounding the historic dockyards of Falmouth it is a gem that could be easily missed.
Little Red Rooster is a family run diner owned by Becky and Mike. According their website after visiting New York they fell in love with the laid back friendliness of the local diners along with the amazing food. They decided to re-create what they had found in NYC and bring it back to UK shores opening in 2016 in Falmouth.
The diner is best known for their American breakfasts, burgers, hot dogs, delicious sides such as mac & cheese and amazing desserts. I went for the sticky BBQ ribs which are cooked for 7 hours till they fall off the bone and are apparently one of the most popular items on the menu. All topped off with a side of sweet potato fries and an ice cold coke.
With it’s tasty authentic new York inspired food and retro 50’s style interior the Little Red Rooster is an experience not to be missed.
