If you are trying to find a nice modern spot to grab a great cup of coffee whilst in the city you’d be hard pushed to beat TAKK . Located in the heart of the Northern Quarter, Manchester’s art’s scene this is more than just your average coffee shop.
Inspired by the owners travels through Scandinavia and Iceland, it is part artisan coffee house and part creative space where visitors can work and relax whilst taking in great food and drink.
The atmosphere oozes an easy laid back charm crossed with a modern hipster twist. All around us people are talking, catching up, working and dreaming up new creative ideas. Laptop friendly areas are commonplace in most coffee shops now as the modern work and play lifestyle continue to cross over and you couldn’t find a nicer place to work than this.
I can highly recommend the Takk M.A.C sandwich which is comprised of maple streaky bacon, smashed avocado, chipotle ketchup all layered up and sandwich between two pieces of sourdough. All topped off with a fantastic hot chocolate to wash all of that down.
My friend ordered the equally mouth watering French Toast which is made up of Brioche loaf with blueberry compote, honey and vanilla mascarpone, cinnamon streusel, maple syrup & pistachios. The food was absolutely fantastic and I can wholeheartedly recommend TAKK as a place to unwind and catch up with some friends or as a creative space to stir the big ideas within you.
